16.4.2008 | Berliner Unterwelten-Museum

150 years of Berlin Underground

Guided tour with Unterwelten e.V.

This tour looks back on the Cold War, visiting "reactivated" 1980s civil defense complexes, and takes you through almost 1,000 meters of subterranean passageways to the subway station Gesundbrunnen; the second part of the tour explores the Gesundbrunnen Bunker, still partly extant. This vast underground complex, which dates back to World War II, today houses the Berlin Unterwelten Museum. At once informative and spooky, this tour reveals what remains hidden beneath the surface of the city.
