Object and Disintegration: A Performance in Trialogue Form, 2007–08

Performance by Falke Pisano

Using language as a means to rethink the potential of abstraction, sculpture, and artistic practice, Falke Pisano activates abstract sculpture as a thought-generating principle. She employs the idea of the unstable, transforming, and disintegrating object as a way to address issues concerning object qualities, form, construction, and engagement. During the performance, she will attempt to articulate a potential path from "the object" toward a situation in which the (disintegrated) object becomes a performative site in the form of a trialogue between a contextualizing observer, a creative subject, and an engaging spectator.
